Public Sector Representatives Meeting of the European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights

In the context of Romania’s Presidency of the European Union, the European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights is holding its public sector representatives meeting in Bucharest on 12 and 13 February.
The Observatory will present his Annual Activity Report 2018, for endorsement to European Commission and EU member states representatives. Delegates will be provided with updates on the Observatory activities, including the latest main results achieved, the status of ongoing work, and the new initiatives.
The public sector meeting is followed by a conference on IP in Education on 14 February. The conference is organised by the Romanian Presidency and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and gathers public stakeholders of the EUIPO’s European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights, the education community, and members of the European IP and Education network, which is made up of the European Ministries of Education and Intellectual Property Offices. The aim of the meeting is to present and discuss the work carried out in the area of IP and education both in Romania and on a European level, and agree on the common priorities. A teachers’ training will take place the next day after the conference.
