5 April @ 8:30 am - 6:00 pm EEST
The Romanian Presidency strongly aims at establishing the role of the agricultural and food sectors in the development of the bioeconomy as a vision for the agricultural growth.
In many countries there are currently in place policies enhancing the development of the bioeconomy, in areas such as: climate change, sustainable agriculture, livestock and aquaculture, forestry and biodiversity, biotechnology, bioenergy and the use of residual biomass. Many of those policies have evolved over time, in response to different national and international agreements and policy contexts. Within this context, over the last years several countries have started processes intended to develop bioeconomy through dedicated domestic bioeconomy strategies.
The main objectives of the conference
- Identification and configuration of agronomic research priorities to the need for food and the future development of the bioeconomy.
- Identifying the challenges and debating the ways and means of implementing the updated Bioeconomy Strategy at European and national levels.
