The Consultation Forum for Sustainable Energy in the Defence and Security Sector is held in Bucharest

On Wednesday, June 12, Minister of National Defence Gabriel-Beniamin Leș will take part in the opening of the Fourth Conference of the Consultation Forum for Sustainable Energy in the Defence and Security Sector, to be jointly held in Bucharest – under the Romanian Council Presidency – by the European Defence Agency (EDA) and the Directorate-General for Energy (DG ENER) of the European Commission, with the support of the Military Equipment and Technologies Research Agency (ACTTM).

Journalists who are interested in covering the first working session and the press briefing of the event are invited to join the meeting at 08:00 – 08:45, on Wednesday, June 12, at Fortuna Hall of The Intercontinental Hotel, 4 Nicolae Bălcescu Blvd, Bucharest. The meeting will be attended by over 130 participants representing 22 EU Member States and 4 non-EU countries, as well as by officials of the European Union Military Staff (EUMS) and of NATO. This stage will will focus on exploring how the technological and legislative developments in the areas of energy efficiency, renewable energy and the protection of critical infrastructure can be successfully implemented in the fields of defence and security.
