Minister for European Affairs George Ciamba participates in the General Affairs Council of May 21, 2019, taking place in Brussels

On May 21, 2019, Minister for European Affairs George Ciamba will chair another meeting of the General Affairs Council (GAC), taking place in Brussels.

The agenda will include topical items such as the Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027 and work in preparation of the European Council of June 20-21, 2019.

The first item on the agenda of the General Affairs Council, namely the Multiannual Financial Framework, will envisage a guiding debate on the aspects related to the external dimension of the European budget.

The second item on the agenda of the ministerial meeting will include the preparation of the European Council of June 20-21, 2019. The meeting will be an opportunity for the European leaders to share opinions on the upcoming institutional cycle, on the Multiannual Financial Framework and on climate change, as well as on aspects related to the European Semester, disinformation and EU enlargement.
